Family Promise

Approximately 600 individuals are homeless every night in Mobile County. We partner with congregations and civic groups to offer children and their families a safe place to sleep and hope.

The mission of Family Promise of Coastal Alabama is to provide temporary shelter, related services and nurturing support to families as they work to achieve and sustain independence.

Redeemer is a host church for the Family Promise program, housing and feeding families for one week each quarter.

TAKE WHAT YOU NEED, BRING WHAT YOU CAN

ABOVE ALL... BE BLESSED

Food bags are distributed in person each Wednesday from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

The Blessing Boxes are honor system food pantries where people in need can take food. This is also an easy way for those who want to help others to donate non-perishable food items.

You can always make a donation without sponsorship to the blessing boxes, just stop by the box and leave a Blessing for others or visit our Donation Page to give a monetary gift.

Redeemer Environmental Stewardship Team R.E.S.T.

At Redeemer we see ourselves as stewards or caretakers of God’s creation. The Redeemer Environmental Stewardship Team (REST) was formed to foster awareness of the ecological issues we face and to examine ways we can respond to these issues from a Christian perspective.  The team focuses its efforts in the areas of environmental study, education, outreach and activism. Redeemer is a founding member of Gulf Coast Creation Care, a faith-based climate action alliance.

St. Francis Guild

Our mission is to promote the well-being of God's creatures and to honor the mutual bond that exists between animals and the people who love them. We do this through community outreach, education and awareness, and the offering of spiritual support to those in need. Our projects include: Sponsoring the St. Francis Pet Memorial Garden, a scattering garden for the ashes of and a living memorial to the pets we have loved and those who have loved us and the annual “Blessing of the Pets.”

Spiritual Formation

Spirtual Formation

We at Redeemer believe that everyone is constantly being formed into the image of Christ.  Therefore, we need to "continue in the apostles' teaching and fellowship" as our baptismal covenant requires of us.  Christ calls us to grow spiritually and to pass on what we know to others.
